Reviews & Statements

The chapter on "Security Policy and Security Controls From Private Corporations in the USA" discusses the importance of mobile security controls for private organizations, specifically in the United States. The research examines the importance of technical security controls and behavioral ones. This chapter applies to all companies, including those in the medical field, and it contributes to the ongoing research into mobile device security.

– Nicole Hoy

This chapter applies a sociocultural lens in analyzing the psychological responses of the Indian population during the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, it explores specific cultural perceptions of disease, and policies grounded in these cultural ideals, and their implications and contributions to psychological distress. This examination, using Phillip Strong’s Model of Epidemic Psychology as an analytical framework, highlights the relationship between culture and disease responses, both on psychological and policy levels. These findings therefore stress the importance of the creation and implementation of government policies and directives which acknowledge the sociocultural roots of psychological distress in efforts to reduce this distress, particularly in disease epidemic scenarios, in the future.
