In an era marked by escalating environmental concerns and the imperative for sustainable development, a pressing challenge looms large: the urgent need for transitioning towards circular and climate-neutral economies. As industries grapple with the complexities of achieving these critical milestones, Digital Technologies for a Resource Efficient Economy explores innovative conceptual frameworks, case studies, and empirical studies, seeking to unravel the relationship between clean technologies, digital innovation, and knowledge management. Positioned at the intersection of academia and real-world solutions, its insightful exploration engages academic scholars, researchers, industry players, policymakers, and stakeholders in a dynamic discourse on the challenges, opportunities, and trends shaping the path towards a net-zero world in Asia and beyond.

Transitioning from this critical issue to the solution-oriented focus of the book, Digital Technologies for a Resource Efficient Economy offers a transformative intellectual journey. The subsequent exploration within the book illuminates how advanced digital tools, clean technologies, and knowledge management can act as catalysts for sustainable development goals (SDGs) achievement by 2030. As the chapters delve into regional and sectoral applications, ranging from water management to tourism, the book provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the intricate dynamics at play. It becomes a guide for fostering inclusive and climate-neutral economies, aligning seamlessly with the European Commission's Horizon Europe Work Program 2023-2024, which champions climate transition and digital transformation. This book stands poised to bridge the gap between academia and actionable solutions, offering a roadmap for a greener and more sustainable future.
